Volunteer judges are critical to the success of an American Speech and Debate Association tournament.

We invite community members to come hear entertaining and inspiring speeches and debates presented by our competitors.  No prior knowledge is needed.  We will provide training so that you will be able to provide feedback to help our competitors improve their public speaking skills. 

Judging one round requires a commitment of approximately 2-2.5 hours. Your experience will include judge instruction, watching and listening to the students assigned to your room, and filling out ballots to rank the competitors and offer any feedback you have on their performance.

Community judges need to be 18+ years old and no longer in high school.
